Most baccalaureate degree programs at Arkansas State University – Jonesboro can be completed in four calendar years of a student’s initial enrollment.   The four-year graduation guarantee plan is designed to assist students with staying on track for meeting their degree requirements in a timely manner.  Students who elect to participate in this program will work closely with their advisers to make sure they know the requirements that must be met and the appropriate sequences in which to take courses.  Students accept responsibility for monitoring their own progress toward degrees and for making choices that will allow them to graduate in four years.  The university is responsible for providing needed courses or their equivalents.

Students who wish to complete a baccalaureate degree in four years must successfully complete at least 30-36 hours of appropriate course work each academic year as outlined by their degree plan, meet frequently with their academic advisor, and remain in academic good standing (GPA of 2.00 or above).   Arkansas State University - Jonesboro guarantees that all undergraduate students wishing to graduate in four years will be provided necessary courses as required by the university in the student’s selected major field of study (the major must be on the approved list for the plan).  Students are responsible for taking courses in the appropriate sequence as scheduled by the university (completion of prerequisite courses, etc.).  Any required courses needed beyond four years will be provided to the student tuition-free providing all conditions of the graduation guarantee contract have been fulfilled.
