PRIORITIES FOR ALLOCATIONS OF FUNDS PROVIDED FACULTY FOR PROFESSIONAL TRAVEL

In general and consistent with the best interests of the university, the following criteria shall be considered in order in making determinations concerning the allocation of funds provided faculty for professional travel.

  • Presentation of a paper reporting the results of professional scholarly work to a national forum.
  • Participation in a national forum as a convener, panelist, discussant, responder, recorder, or officer.
  • Participation of a paper reporting the results of professional scholarly work to a regional, multi-state forum.
  • Participation in a regional, multi-state forum as a convener, panelist, discussant, responder, recorder, or officer.
  • Participation in a national seminar, short course, or workshop.
  • Participation in a regional, multi-state seminar or workshop.
  • Attendance at any forum, seminar, workshop, or meeting in which the university has a demonstrated, compelling interest.
  • Presentation of a paper reporting the results of professional scholarly work or acting as a convener, panelist, discussant, responder, recorder, or officer in a state forum.
  • Attendance at a state forum.
  • Presentation, participation, or attendance in a local forum, seminar, workshop, or meeting.

All requests for allocation of funds for faculty professional travel should indicate clearly the priority of the contemplated travel.
